Excellent product, the best quality.
I haven't worn a balaclava before, so I can't make any comparisons. When it was - 20 and minus 10, I went snowboarding. I did not wear a hat; instead, I wore this mask and helmet. Warm and comfy, without a doubt; not frigid. Breathing is fine, but if you jumped a lot on the slopes and ran out of breath, you may have to pull the mask down to open your mouth. I'm definitely content overall.
