The only downside is that it takes a few seconds to start up after you press the lock button a third time (I didn't buy the extended range version, so my fob's range is the same as the standard distance). This works best when you're sitting and relaxing and close enough to your key fob to start your car before you head out on a hot summer's day. On the other hand, if you go to the car with the standard trailer, your air conditioner will hardly work when you get to the car.
