This review is for the 1 quart container.This is clear hard plastic which will easily shatter if dropped. But it looks very nice and sturdy.There is no latch on the lid, it is "press to seal." I am a little leary of that, hence only 4 stars. If it tips, contents could easily spill all over. I am sure that it was cheaper to manufacture a latchless container, I just don't know how safe it is. Also, opening the lid requires some pressure, so powdery contents such as powdered sugar might fly all over the place.Aside these concerns, it is a very nice and stylish container. I hope it is indeed air tight. If not, I will most definitely update my rating.
