Dog holes for your workbench, yes!
Like many others, I have used this drill bit to drill holes in my wood bench for my 3/4 inch steel brackets and dowel rods. It worked great. I've drilled over 30 holes and the bit has performed brilliantly and I expect to make many more holes on the workbench in the future!
