I can speak a lot about the fit of these boots because it's summer and I haven't had a chance to properly test them in the snow. All of these boots are one piece which is great because I'm tired of the lining coming out and fiddling with the lining when trying to put kids feet in a snow boot. The outsole is not only a one-piece liner in the boot, but also a one-piece piece that feels great during the winter months and those slushy spring days we often see in our part of New England. . There is a Velcro strap that prevents snow and mud from getting into the boots and getting the socks wet. These boots seem to hold up and are very warm on my child's feet. I'm curious to see how they do in cold weather, but on a cold, rainy day they passed the field test in our garden perfectly. Columbia is a brand I trust and it looks like they didn't cut corners when developing their line for kids.
