Review on Fiskars PowerGear Super Pruner/Lopper, 15 Inch by Jeremy Stephens

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A slight improvement over regular blades

I like that they are very light. Although they are made of plastic, they are durable. Transmission is decent and adds a bit of power. The disadvantage is that you have to open your arms very wide, even for small cuts. This makes it difficult to use in a confined space. In many situations, if you had longer arms that you didn't have to open as wide, it seems like you're in front. Another issue is that the anvil (which is also plastic) is quite wide, so it's not possible to cut almost flush. After all, they just aren't that sharp and tend to rip and split branches rather than cut cleanly. They are interesting, but not suitable for my needs, as well as for ordinary bypass lopers. I see other people use them for brush combing and they seem perfect for that.
