I am buying these for my 12 year old Labrador who has trouble slipping and sliding on hardwood floors. We have carpets in every room but he had trouble moving from room to room. He accepted the socks well and will wear them without any problems. They work wonders for him on hardwood, BUT. Since he doesn't quite raise his legs when walking on one of the mats (thus dragging his toes slightly), the slippers gradually slip off. With a little modification like velcro over the top of the toe to hold it up or making it longer so it goes over the ankle they would be perfect. Even at 12 he still thinks and acts like a 2 year old so I just invested in runners to get him from mat to mat.
