Revainrating 4 out of 5

Okay, I'm impressed - and surprised.

My first reaction when I opened the box was "This is an antenna? It looks like a piece of cardboard with a plastic coating." Not to be deterred (after all, there were hundreds of reviews saying it worked), I hooked it to the TV, went to Source, and just got my Samsung TV Plus choice. It didn't bring up a menu to detect channels, After several attempts, I got frustrated, and went to handy-dandy Google, and found some handy-dandy Youtube videos showing what I was doing wrong. Turns out it wasn't the screen "settings" option I was supposed to be doing, but the remote "Settings" button. Then the "Broadcasting" button was grayed out. Back to You Tube. Some other nice young man told me that the Samsung TV option under "Source" had to be checked. Apparently, in one of my earlier attempts I had unchecked it. Once I got the broadcasting option available (finally!), it worked as advertised. Picked up 43 channels on my upstairs TV, and when I moved it to the basement TV, it picked up 56 channels, which I thought was odd, especially since there are mountains smack dab out my rear window area where I had the antenna. But the basement TV is a better TV so maybe that has something to do with it?I was impressed because I am in a mountainous area along the Blue Ridge Parkway in NC, and thought for sure the mountains would prevent me from getting channels. The quality is good, too.And as a final idea, as a control, I disconnected the antenna to see if the TV could detect any channels without an antenna. (At my main home, I can get CBS with no antenna at all.) It couldn't. So the antenna really is doing something. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that it is so lightweight that it won't just sit in place without using the stickers, or wedging something against it (I chose option 2, since I didn't want to be putting sticky stuff on my walls or windows.)

Pros
  • The 4K signal amplifier ensures that your signal remains strong and reliable
Cons
  • May require frequent adjustment for channels due to atmospheric interference
