Perfect size, gears work well except for one issue. The motor that drives the gears does not turn these gears. If you disconnect the gears from the motor, you will find that the motor has a problem. It makes a whirring noise but doesn't turn the spindle that turns the gears. The engine was apparently not powerful enough to withstand the traffic loads. However, the gears are very strong and reliable. If I find another working engine, the gears work the way I want them to. Sometimes patience is required. The cost of this item is so low that sending it back and waiting for another one to replace it is just ridiculous.
