Have you always wanted to be able to attach something else to the suspension than just a pen? Even with a foldable extension tripod, it's not easy. You'll need this for extra grip and grip on your Ronin S. The DF DigitalFoto L-Bracket Grip is solid metal with a smooth black finish. It also looks like the familiar logo on the front and the fact that it has an apt name. The first thing I noticed when fiddling around was the holes - it's basically a metal frame to keep the weight down. Smart move on their part. Although one of my photos has part of the cut that reminds me of a cigar opener to put your finger in. It screws into the bottom of my Ronin S easily and feels solid. However, after finger tightening, you may need a wrench to tighten the brass screw if you wish to remove it. It doesn't start to come loose accidentally, which is good. The rubber ring that holds it in place needs to do its job. It really works best and doesn't get in the way of your joints on the front of the gimbal. I have to say my favorite surprise was finding the screws and cold shoe mounts! They don't show up spontaneously in the studio and it was nice to see three cold shoe mounts with matching screws. I love a good company that can give its customers more than they need. Everything I got from DF was absolutely high quality. I am convinced!
