I have an early 2015 13 inch Macbook Pro that has a defective SSD slot on the motherboard. Instead of replacing the board, I decided to take this case and run an external boot drive. It only took me a few minutes to assemble and everything was fine. Now my old Macbook looks like it's alive. It's not the best thing in the world, but I'm okay with it because it works.
