i got this lens some time ago when i had vx2000 and everything was ok this lens is pretty much the same compared to mk2 the optics of the century so if you are arguing about that , for this lens or mk2 and there is not enough money, take this thing. but if you have the money for a mk1 optic of the century, don't even think about this lens. mk1 is much better, especially on vx1000. on the vx2000 the mk1 is great but you can also get away with the optics like the vx1000 if you plan on using that lens with it you go bad. Obviously the MK1 is expensive. So if you're short on cash, buy it and put 2 or 3 spacers on it and you'll be fine until you have money for the MK1. but IF YOU CAN GET MK1 GET IT NOW.
