I bought the Addalock for travel. I noticed that the hotel doors don't lock when I use them, but they do block the door, so I thought it was worth it. Fast forward to my recent vacation. I used it in a big brand hotel where the door was not locked but kept closed. I go to a small island, to a local inn, and the deadbolt actually fits in Addalok's hole. I was surprised but thought it was cool that he finally showed up. After a while I wanted to open the door AND I CANNOT OPEN THE DOOR. I tried it alone for a while and then finally called the front desk. Five renovations later, window blinds removed, doorknob and lock removed, my embarrassment and reprimand from the lady at reception. I finally left my room. Addalok was bent but not broken.
