If your Dyson is in need of a new clutch and/or belt (if you are replacing one, I highly recommend replacing both) buy this inexpensive, well thought out tool - I promise you will greatly be thankful for it. ! This tool pays off, period. Using this and a belt clutch kit, I fixed our trusty DC33 in about 10 minutes for about $40. It works like new, literally! At first I was hesitant to buy this tool thinking I could save a few bucks. After reading all the reviews on here and watching a few Dyson repair videos I decided to follow most people's advice and order this tool kit. You were certainly right! I can't imagine how frustrating it would be to attempt this repair without this tool. Something about "monkeys" and "soccer balls" comes to mind. RE: It took about 30 minutes to disassemble the vacuum cleaner. Apparently this was the longest part of the clutch repair. Mind you, I've never done this before; I could easily do it in under 5 minutes now! I've been running back and forth between the garage (where I worked on the vacuum cleaner) and the computer (where I watched a tutorial video on YT on disassembling the vacuum cleaner). Extension (a long, narrow extension for my drill bit) for a deep screw that needs it. Otherwise I was able to disassemble the entire vacuum cleaner with 3 normal screwdrivers (Phillips, large flat and Torx, whose number I can no longer remember). There are many very helpful videos on YT and with the right preparation anyone can do this cheap and easy repair. Much luck!
