When using shoulder straps or dual camera straps that connect to the camera's tripod mount, it makes sense to have a second connection to the camera. A friend asked me to be the second photographer for the wedding which prompted me to pack 4 packs of these camera tethers. They have a simple basic design with a rope loop on one side that attaches to the eye of the camera and the other side that attaches to the strap has a metal connector with a threaded hole. These particular tethers have a few quirks, but they worked decently for an 8 hour wedding shoot. At the wedding, the screws were so tight I couldn't loosen them by hand. They were brand new at the time, and from dawn to dusk they photographed the event, the temperature change may have been part of it. For the price I paid I think it's a decent turnkey solution.
