Looks like a handmade product.

The saying "You get what you pay for” applies here. It looks homemade and I'm almost afraid to attach it to high-end cameras. The thread is tied in a knot and wrapped in heat shrink tubing similar to that used for electrical wire. My fault for not looking at the enlarged image of the product.

Pros
  • LIGHTWEIGHT YET DURABLE. Constructed from durable nylon and aluminum, it is very lightweight yet durable. Even the heaviest digital SLR camera with a lens fits in.
Cons
  • Usurious price

Inexpensive safety rope.

I got this as a safety cable for my shoulder harness. Seems very durable and thin enough to carry with what came with my shoulder gear. The only thing I change is the carabiner. I don't want to turn the screw so I just switch it to the quick press type.

Pros
  • SECURE - The strap is designed to connect you and your favorite camera. And don't drop the camera. Helps you take photos safely.
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Simple, light and offers extra security

I recently replaced the original strap that came with my Nikon Z 6 with a BlackRapid shoulder strap model. I love the new strap, but I need extra protection for my camera in case the tripod plate that the strap attaches to comes loose on its own. The strap is simple, light and solves the problem for me.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Vulgarity

A simple addition to improve protection.

When using shoulder straps or dual camera straps that connect to the camera's tripod mount, it makes sense to have a second connection to the camera. A friend asked me to be the second photographer for the wedding which prompted me to pack 4 packs of these camera tethers. They have a simple basic design with a rope loop on one side that attaches to the eye of the camera and the other side that attaches to the strap has a metal connector with a threaded hole. These particular tethers have a few…

Pros
  • An absolute legend
