This is quality equipment. Be careful, the blades are razor sharp, which is what you need for this type of device. Normally the knife cuts by sliding over the surface. In one of them it's a straight downward thrust that should pierce the apple skin along each surface; such super sharp rules and this one makes it great. You only apply very moderate force and you instantly have 12 pre-cut slices and the core can be thrown away. I just threw some water over it and it dissolved instantly. You want to wash it immediately. Dry cured material requires a special brush to keep your fingers off the sharp surface. Works great, cleans great with a simple rinse. No wastage, which is normal when trying to core an apple, not to mention wasted time. Get one.
