Gum marks and faded colors

I have a large part that I print regularly and use a lot of PLA. I don't usually have problems, but this case was an exception. The color was lighter than I wanted but if that was all I would be fine with that. The picture in the listing is a reasonable representation and it's not as bright as an orange like I usually get. However, I suspected I might run into trouble when I loaded it up and grabbed the extra strand I had pushed through from the top with my tweezers. The result was a very rubbery consistency rather than the usual fibrous strand. I went ahead and kept printing and the raft seemed to print fine but when it hit the real part none of the edges held properly, pulling and pulling diagonally at corners and curves. The internal pattern lay normal but did not reach the rings around the perimeter, leaving a gap of good thread width. I tried increasing the temperature to see if it would flow better, but that only resulted in bubbles/pitting on the surface during printing. Perhaps slowing down typing will improve this process, but I can't afford it! I stopped printing but the result was too flexible. Not sure what it is, but it's not standard PLA. Since it was nothing more than junk as far as I could tell, I decided to use some power and make one last try at printing out the temp tower to see if there's a temp where it will work reliably. As you can see, it gives lousy results regardless of the temperature. Unfortunately I bought two rolls of this junk!
