Very good heat lamp for reptiles
I use it in my Russian tortoise's 4 foot paddling pool and it keeps them warm enough even in winter. I use this with a 100 watt reptile bulb for general warming of the turtle and I use a 100 watt ceramic spot heater in a small bulb to provide it with spot light. When I bought it I didn't know it had a glowing light. coating applied to it. Even if the bulb is on for 10 to 12 hours, the glow only lasts for an hour or less. Otherwise it is a very good heat lamp with a wide beam pattern making it suitable for general heating of a reptile terrarium.
