Review on Set of 2 Glencairn Whisky Glasses in a Leather Travel Case by Pamela Ervin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The case costs more than the glasses

I like the glasses. I bought these because they were meant to be a whiskey tasting glass. Surprisingly, despite my skepticism, they work. I have some whiskeys that have a strong alcoholic aftertaste but this one doesn't have it. I could taste a lot more of the complexity of the drink. The crazy thing is that the case costs more than the two glasses that come with it. I checked out the case on another site and it cost over $30. Although I like the look of the case. I agree that the inside has been shaped to fit the glasses more closely. I don't think I would use it if I just wanted to drink. If I want to sit and drink alcohol and enjoy the taste more, I think it will be a glass. If I wanted to do a tasting with friends I think that would be a good option. I think a glass of Wee Glencairn is better for smaller portions. It could be your next purchase. If you don't need a travel bag, just buy the glasses by yourself, it's a much better option. In my case, I wanted a travel case.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
