I have been working with oil vacuum pumps for many years. This was intended for use in a laboratory for filtering liquids. I have used this type of pumps for this many times before. When I first started using oil mist it was awful. For those who don't know what it is, these are tiny droplets of oil being flung into the air. After about 15 minutes, my insides were clouded with oil mist. I should have returned it at the time but decided to spend the extra $55 to buy a good oil mist filter to replace the one the pump brings. Still, I had to put a paper towel on the oil mist filter for oil mist. With all this, the oil mist improved, but after about 20 minutes, my insides were still cloudy from the oil mist. Also, as you can see from the photos, the amount of oil that squirts out even with an oil mist filter and paper towels is just insane. The shiny area on the floor is a splatter of oil coming from the oil mist filter. the danger of using it indoors as you will inhale this oil mist even with oil mist filter.
