It compresses very well.
Very nice coat. I use this to wear in the car seat, it compresses just like the fleece coat I wear most of the time, but I wanted something warmer. I put my baby in her place in the fleece jacket and took it off without adjusting the straps and put this jacket on and put her in the car seat. The same fits. No customization.
