This humidifier is small so won't humidify much except in a small space. I also don't think it's as effective as a warm mist humidifier. The warm mist humidifier appears to disperse the mist into the air. This one - the fog just comes out from above, moves about a foot and then seems to fall back to the ground. Also, after a few months of constant use, I had to empty the thing and leave everything there. Drying out due to a small amount of mold and a large amount of red hard water. Since then, now when I try to use it, it's VERY temperamental. There was a disc of dried red limescale on the induction plate which I had to scrape off before it started to mist up again after the drying and cleaning I had done - not only that, but overnight that same day it stopped completely again work. . I got into a very dry office and had to remove the tank, shake it (at this point the mist started generating randomly when the tank was NOT on it, replaced the tank and at that moment it started fogging up again. I think so will see how long THAT lasts today. Not very good overall. Also, a cool mist sinks to the bottom and doesn't dissipate as well as a warm mist. Try a warm mist.
