I bought with the idea of having more than one papermaking cutting option, but was surprised to find that the new blade does nothing but an overly glamorized embosser when I went to get one cut piece of cheap printer paper. I went through the same piece in the same spot, rolled back and forth several times wondering what I could be doing wrong and was left with ONLY a tiny slot for the 8.5" piece I was looking for when I finished was. I understand that you can't use paper scissors for fabric and vice versa, but how do you explain that a new blade can't cut from the first roll? An absolute letdown for me, so why give it 2 stars? I haven't tested it on another medium or fabric, or on a cutting mat - maybe it would respond better? But it still had to be good.
