Review on πŸŽ₯ Digitnow USB 2.0 Video Capture Card: Convert, Edit & Save Analog Video to Digital Files on Mac OS X or Windows 7 8 10 PC | Easy-to-Use Device for VHS VCR TV to DVD Conversion by Andre Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A lot of effort to get it working properly.

I first tried to install it on my desktop PC (windows 10) and no matter what I tried I couldn't get the software to recognize the graphics driver. I've tried the software that came with the device and also the video capture software that came with Sony Vegas. The software that came with it listed the device, but I couldn't activate it. Sony Vegas did not recognize the device at all. I finally tried it on my laptop (also Windows 10) and it finally worked. But not without problems. At first there was no sound, so I disconnected. Then I kept getting "Copyrighted, this video may not be copied" (or something like that) message on some home videotapes (which were of pretty poor quality). Obviously my home videos are not copyrighted. So I wasn't able to transfer those special tapes. Sometimes when I click "Record" it says it's being recorded, but when I click "Stop" I get the message "Unable to transfer". To the right. With this product I cannot be sure of its reliability. And since I need to transfer the tapes to my laptop, I need to transfer those files back to my main desktop PC, which has all my video and audio software installed (and has a much larger hard drive). Too much effort for something that should be pretty easy!
