If you don't need high temperature measurement accuracy, these devices are perfect. However, the pins in these connectors are not made of thermocouple materials (Chromel and Alumel). If your reader is the same temperature as the connector when you plug it in, there shouldn't be a problem. However, if for some reason they are not within a few degrees of each other, there will be an error in the displayed temperature and the reading will drift until they reach the same temperature. Also, there are no washers on the screws to attach the thermocouple wires, so it was a little difficult for me to attach the wires securely.
