Outstanding picture quality. Low video quality.
I bought this camera solely to make youtube videos. I take nice, high-quality photos, but when it comes to videos, the quality of the sound and image is lacking; not terrible, but not good either. However, this is a good camera for beginners and is better suited for photography than video.
