Review on Weigh Safe WS6 2 5 Adjustable Mount by Albert Tucker

Unique. Well designed product. Durable aluminum finish. Works great on my 2016 RAM 2500 4x4 with 2.5" receiver shaft. The truck stands fairly tall with the factory setting. About 24" from the bottom to the center of the receiver. The shaft slides smoothly into a 2.5" factory Mopar pickup. Not too loose, but not too tight either. The 6" drop down model allows me to tow most common cargo trailers and my RV while keeping them level. I usually go from the bottom hole to the 2nd and 3rd from the bottom back and forth. I could see where you might want the 8" convertible version when towing smaller trailers that sit lower to the ground. I settled on a 6" for perfect ground clearance. I haven't had any issues with durability. I don't leave it plugged in all the time though. I only leave it open to the elements about 25% of the time. Like any metal product with moving parts, it needs to be lubricated. WD-40 or some other lubricant wax based is great for allowing the two pins to move freely in the shaft and keeping the lock clean. Tongue weight seems accurate. I highly recommend this product.
