Can't keep up with the built in scale!

I've been using it for a short time but so far I'm very satisfied. Light weight is good and the scale is great so far. I have towed both my boat and a caravan on this hitch and that seems to be all that is advertised. If anything changes in the future I will edit my review and let everyone know.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never

There are better options

I bought this hitch to replace the 6" Anderson hitch I had on my half-ton pickup. This 10" model was for a 2500 series truck. What I found out quickly is that I still have to look at the sensor on the hitch so I don't think I need one. More importantly, I really don't like the lack of a dual ball hitch where I just have to flip it to change from a 2" ball to a 2 5/16" ball. I think it's solid enough and haven't noticed any wobbling. My biggest complaint is the efficiency of simply folding the…

My scale doesn't work.

Bought for my 17 2500 Ram. It's powerful and I like its adjustability. The "Scale" part doesn't work on the device I received. Will go up to 100 pounds. and never higher, even if I put the weight of the body on the tongue. Another thing is my truck is bigger than I thought and I should have bought the 8 inch version but I didn't shoot because of that. It's my fault for not measuring before ordering. All in all, because the scale doesn't work, it's no different than any other adjustable work…

Receiver 2 5/16 " - Safe Weighing

Used this product for about 1 year on the back of a 2015 Ram 2500. I can say I have never had any major problems with the scale or the It has always been durable and gave me confidence when towing. I have mainly towed it with a 16ft (2 5/16") dump truck. So much convenience when loading equipment, materials and bulk cargo onto a "rig" remained as stable as possible.Additionally a (2" balloon) 14ft landscaping trailer. Thank you for a quality product and I hope the innovation for towing safety…

Good product in towing and winch products

It's a namesake, tracking is a problem and should be left out of the design saying "I love that it comes in 2.5" for my class V devices. That's good. solid construction with good height adjustment the cross pins are aluminum and it was a red flag. but i tested them and they are made of 7075 alum which is 80 percent stronger than regular aluminum so that's good. but the ball stud is also aluminum, ie changed to 316 stainless steel. It was pretty easy to do. The price seems high but is fair…

The sensor broke after exactly one year of use.

The sensor on this towbar broke after a year of use. I'm not the only customer with this problem. The price of this clutch is high because it has a lever sensor. The manufacturer will void the warranty if you do not register the product within 30 days of purchase (this is important to know). It's good to know that they will do anything to get your information and even void your warranty. What happens to the days the receipt is shown? Now it's the constant harassment of companies trying to…

Out of service after 20 months of use

I purchased this product on December 2nd, 2016. I use it to tow an 18 foot open deck trailer with a max weight of 7500 pounds. I noticed that the weights were wrong and the cars should have been placed higher on the deck. The next day after towing, I noticed oil dripping from the hitch. I noticed that the sensor no longer registers the weight. I removed the hitch and pulled the ball out of its socket and the cavity was filled with what appeared to be hydraulic oil. There is a plate that the…

Works great on my 2016 RAM 2500 4x4 with 2

Unique. Well designed product. Durable aluminum finish. Works great on my 2016 RAM 2500 4x4 with 2.5" receiver shaft. The truck stands fairly tall with the factory setting. About 24" from the bottom to the center of the receiver. The shaft slides smoothly into a 2.5" factory Mopar pickup. Not too loose, but not too tight either. The 6" drop down model allows me to tow most common cargo trailers and my RV while keeping them level. I usually go from the bottom hole to the 2nd and 3rd from the…
