It has arrived and the red is definitely more eggplant than maroon. As someone who tries to go the extra mile to have matching burgundy tones in my bedroom, this is a recurring problem with Revain products so it didn't bother me too much, although it really doesn't look like the photos at all. The ceiling was hard; wanted to wash to become softer. I threw it in the washing machine and when I pulled it out it broke into small pieces. The filling was everywhere. I bought a used version so I only lost $70, but it's worth noting that you definitely shouldn't wash this comforter yourself. Chemical cleaning! Overall I wouldn't recommend this either if you're too itchy if you spend a lot of time dangling over your bedspreads. I put the duvet away and left the pillows. All in all not what I expected.
