My old Lincoln 155 Weld-Pak was having trouble feeding the wire. Inevitably, as soon as I cleared the last one, a new "bird's nest" emerged in just a few minutes of welding! It became so sad to think of a new welding machine! I stumbled upon the 'Lube-Matic Combo-Paks' by accident. (2) Cylindrical foam pads are placed around the MIG wire between the spool and the cable entry and held in place with a metal clip. Red comes before black. The red pad is a bit rougher and removes sand or rust. Black is used to coat the cleaned wire with welding wire lubricant, sold separately. This saved me the cost of a new welder! The freshly cleaned and lubricated wire now fits easily through my Mig's .35" liner. I've been using Pads for almost 3 weeks and haven't had any problems with the wire feed and use them for several hours every day! If you're having trouble feeding your filler wire and don't want to clear tangled wires from the wire feeder, try these pads and buy some black pad lube. It doesn't contaminate the integrity of the weld, but it works. Here is a link to the lube I bought; Weld-Aid - Lube-Matic® Liquid Wa Lube-Matic 5 Oz007040 - Sold in packs of 1
