Review on Blue 54X LED Deck Visor Flashing Warning Light For Volunteer Firefighter Vehicles - Interior Emergency Strobe Lights For Dash Grille by Ryan Hill

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Better than expected

Long review but worth reading for an SUV Fitment - 3 stars Brightness - 3.5 stars Appearance/overall impression - 4 stars I bought 4 sets of Amber and Green because I was looking at 2 Explorers in 2015 . give you an elegant look and stay as incognito as possible. I ended up having to use 4 harnesses for 1 Explorer so I sacrificed installing the grill lights just so I could connect and operate the visor lights. I had 4 in the back and 2 in the front. Overall easy installation just a little drilling and connecting wires with plastic terminals. Most photos show how I did the wiring/installation. I drilled the rear part into plastic, and the front part into the roof board, plugged the extra cable into the center console on the driver's side. I chose a rocker switch from one of our old lamps that were previously in the Explorer and hooked up one black and one red, plug and play right. I was honestly lazy and didn't want to bother with the battery wiring because it would force me to buy more wiring to reach it etc. Brightness is good at night and decent/normal during the day. The tint helps bring out the light more during the day and the green is lighter than amber, but not by much. Definitely the most incognito lights I've seen because they're so small. Highlights in photos taken around 2pm in California with blue skies and sunshine, but again the tint helps in direct sunlight so I imagine it might be less noticeable without the tint.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Protection
