Review on XPEL Black Universal Guard Protection Car Care by Mark Ponnusamy

Easy to apply to decorate

**I have not used any other type of protective film to compare this product. I bought this product for my Paddleboard surfboard. I applied soapy water to the tape and application area as instructed, resulting in some bubbles. I peeled off the foil and tried again, but this time I didn't skimp on the soap so much, and also soaped the foil on the outside. After that everything went like magic. Many areas have been treated and recycled 3-4 times and the adhesive properties remain the same tacky. At first I thought it was a little pricey ($50) but after working with this stuff it was worth it. The foil is quite elastic, so wrapping it around sharp edges wasn't as difficult as expected, and it can be cut with ordinary scissors. My SUP board is black carbon fiber and I can't see the XPEL film without looking very closely at it and feeling it with my hand. That's great! **Update** I just installed this on my computer and it's just as easy. I have a Thule roof rack and installed it to protect it from the rubber feet and metal clips/brackets. I had a few corners and curves on the roof that were tricky so I had to remove and reattach a few times before figuring out the process. The great thing about Xpel is that if you're done applying but aren't satisfied, you can remove it (gently) and reapply until you're satisfied. No yellowing, fading or signs of wear on either the paddle board or the car roof. I also like it because I can take the roof rack off and put it on without having to re-measure every installation.
