I use this as the main exhaust fan in my build. In addition to this fan I have a NF-S12A as rear exhaust and two NF-A14 as front intake. Unlike traditional 120mm fans, the thinner NF-A12x15 can fit into Cooler Master Q300L's specified mounting points. The thicker fans push against the CPU/MoBo power connector and I would have to use different mounting holes. By being able to move the fan deeper into the case, I find that airflow has been improved through the VRM and my stock AMD Wraith stealth cooler. I tried using the stock Cooler Master 120mm fan (25mm deep) that came with this case in this position and it didn't deliver enough static pressure to noticeably push through the top dust filter and my thermal performance was worse. The NF-A12x15 is an excellent fan for intended use in confined spaces and an excellent fan for other applications.
