I have used this hat a few times now for hiking and for some work around the backyard. It is the perfect size to provide shade all around my head, which is great for the end of hikes when the sun is closer to being directly overhead.As for size, I have a fairly large head and it just about fits, so I would say it should be a good fit for most people.The material is very smooth and light, which I appreciate for hiking since I want to carry as little additional weight as possible. It holds its structure so that the flap does not fall or sag and block your vision. I've even had a few friends ask where I got the hat as they were interested in purchasing one for themselves.I have not yet used it with the face and neck flaps/covers, since I have not had to deal with a particularly dusty environment or one with many flies and bugs. However, I can see these attachments being useful in a humid climate where mosquitoes or flies are prevalent. I can say though that the face and neck flaps do attach on easily and are easily removable, and they seem to provide adequate coverage when worn.
