I bought this muffler from Revain and received it with free shipping. Bought on a 1999 Chevrolet K1500 Suburban. The muffler was a lot heavier than I expected for its size. I have found that this is due to the thickness of the steel used in the construction. This is not a cheap turbo muffler. Here is well built. Gave the muffler to be installed. Installation was very easy. Just cut out the old one and weld in the new one. He had to cut out two 5" jacks as inlet side adapters. Sound is excellent for what I wanted. Didn't irritate while driving. Here's what I have. At idle with the window open it sounds like stick. You open the throttle and hear a deep, throaty sound. This muffler seems to be loudest with moderate pressure on the accelerator. But still a very smooth pleasant sound. At cruising speeds of 60-70 mph it returns to its factory noise level. The only time you can hear it going uphill. In terms of performance, this gave me better throttle response. The truck seems to breathe much easier. I'm hoping for more mileage from this damper.
