Spacious briefcase. This is a lightweight canvas material. The insert at its widest point is 4 inches, but I've expanded the bag to 8 1/2 inches in the middle when fully loaded and it's quite heavy. As I only use it for storage it doesn't suffer unduly from seams which are not reinforced but feel heavily stitched. It also has 4 plastic feet to lift it off the ground. The rolled piece that connects the two handles is plastic and I don't think it will last all that long with extended use. But it's enough for my purposes. For those who want a shoulder strap, I find it easy to find a shoulder strap, which can be attached to existing clips. which look like a typical size for most shoulder bags. There is a 9 1/2 inch zipper opening on one side of the bag which pocket is approximately 7 inches deep. On the other side is a very large pocket with folds measuring approximately 19 inches wide x 16 inches deep. It expands along with the gusset. The valve is fixed with Velcro over the hole.
