Well I didn't buy it for its intended purpose. I needed a bag to carry part of my Hercules percussion table. I've been looking for a matching bag for a long time (tired of carrying a table in a shipping box to concerts!). It works like a charm - perfect size with room for band banners/sticks and hammers/accessories - even a nice front pocket for song listings and promotional material. Spacious briefcase. This is a lightweight canvas material. The insert at its widest point is 4 inches, but I've expanded the bag to 8 1/2 inches in the middle when fully loaded and it's quite heavy. As I only use it for storage it doesn't suffer unduly from seams which are not reinforced but feel heavily stitched. It also has 4 plastic feet to lift it off the ground.
