I like the idea but not sure if it's worth $500

We're allergic. We also have cats. Air purifiers can be found everywhere in our house. There is one in each bedroom, my home office and one in the main living room. Most of them aren't very aesthetic, but they work decently. I used to have an Alen but now have 3 Bissells (A400 and A220). Mounted it on the wall in our bedroom. This item has a good form factor compared to the Bissell I have, but it feels awkward to place in the middle of a wall. Installation was easy except for a few things. First the filter was wrapped in plastic as instructed. The unit was clearly new, but it was odd that the filter was "new" out of the box. Second, the template provided was well thought out but not that easy to use. The marker holes were misaligned and 1 (of 3) was missing. There is no easy way to ensure your level. There is no perfectly flat or square edge on which to place a spirit level. For $499 they should include a tiny one - if I can buy a $40 TV wall mount that includes a cheap tier, why can't the Aura? This item seems overly loud compared to other models I have. I was able to set it to run on night mode so it's less noisy, but it still needs to move a little air to work effectively, which means noise. After a week we got used to the white noise at night. I walked into the room in the middle of the day and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner running when spinning at high speed (with AUTO on). A replacement filter costs $80! I don't see them on Revain, only on the Aura website. Recently I can replace both filters in my Bissell for less than $50. For the price as a pure air purifier, I'm not sure I like it. For a price that includes detailed air quality reports, CO2 and VOC measurements, scheduling and more, it might be worth it.
