The workmanship on these mittens is excellent, the materials are excellent, my son's hand isn't big enough yet to fit properly so I could just take them off without opening the velcro or zipper, I hope they last at least two winters as it's not exactly cheap and it's such a well made product if it gets too big I'll most likely buy another pair! I like that the sleeves are long, I put them on before he puts on the coat. The sleeves are almost to the elbows which is great because there is no gap between the coat and the mitten, it keeps you warm, we haven't played with it in the snow so I haven't tested the waterproof part yet but the chances are stand well. he does what he says. It's waterproof, my son finally played in the snow a few times, every time we went out for half an hour I checked his hands afterwards and they were warm and dry!
