Will not work on the inside of double glazing units

These decals look nice and are of fairly good quality. However, the instructions advise applying them to the inner surface of the windows. This may be normal on single glazed windows, but on double glazed windows birds simply cannot see these stickers. Not on a clear day, anyway, and I'm not sure that will ever work. I think putting the decals on the outside would work, but I'm not sure how long they will last before peeling off. They aren't removable so I can't try them outside without buying another set.
