So we had an old sofa that was very uncomfortable. But it was durable and held up well in our troubled home. The main downside was that my husband had nowhere to put his feet. He always put his feet on the coffee table which drove me crazy! I decided to buy an ottoman for him, but it turned out to be incredibly problematic. Most ottomans come with a chair. those that don't are VERY expensive and delicate. It just wouldn't work. We needed something permanent that could be cleaned and didn't cost as much as our sofa. We bought the Stork Craft because it was a decent price, came with a guarantee, and was said to be easy to wipe down and remove stains. I don't think we knew then how much we would like it! It's not soft enough to sink your feet into. But it's also not too heavy to the point where it feels like your feet are on cement. It is very durable and well preserved. In fact, we bought a brand new sofa last month. We gave away our old one and said goodbye to almost everything in our family room. All things except the ottoman. It doesn't match our new sofa, but we don't care!
