Review on Drywall and Plastering Taping Knife - 12x3 Inches by Paul Sanchez

Great quality tool

I recently took on a DIY drywall project. I've only done minimal drywall in the past, mostly just patching. After watching a few videos I decided I could! And I wanted tools that would last, so I chose Marshalltown for most of my purchases. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, but it was clear from many sources that they make good instruments. And I totally agree. The handle of this knife (and others) fits my hand well and has a pleasant contour. It's slightly rubbery so it's comfortable to hold and doesn't slip. Some competitor grips are made of smooth wood, metal, or plastic and I'm sure I'll tire of them a lot quicker. The handle is also long enough for my hand to stay close to the blade, but wide enough that I can lean on it easily. The blade has a slight taper, so the hard point is slightly narrower than the blade tip. . This makes cornering (and mud pan) very easy. It also allows you to warp the blade while feathering the corner, so you don't create a ridge of debris and don't have to go over the corner multiple times. The blade is thick and can flex slightly if needed, but is not flexible enough to be easily bent, dented, or wrinkled. Stainless steel is very easy to care for and shows no signs of wear. Of course, I haven't used this knife like a pro, but I expect it will last a long time. Very well made and great value for money! I would definitely recommend these knives and would buy them again once they've worn out (or rather, when my neighbor "borrows" them)!
