I bought this rolling pin for polymer clay, not pasta. This machine is great for getting started with polymer clay, but be careful. The metal is cheap and reacts to the chemicals in the clay causing the clay to scratch/react. I used mine for about a month before it got to the point where I'm now looking for an alternative. I don't feel justified in giving a bad review if it's not for sale or made for clay, but if you're buying for that reason I think it's important to take that into account. My audio gets black streaks from scratches and smudges, I can't get a clean record. If you buy this I recommend not cleaning it with anything other than paper towels. Plus, once I started using it, it worked great. It helped me understand the clay roll mechanism and it's very easy to set up! Feels solid and ran smoothly for the time I've been using it.
