With quality components and enough power for a base system at a reasonable price, this PSU was a good choice for me. For many gaming or high-end systems, however, 500 W is not enough. Check out the rest of the components you plan to use before purchasing. If you plan on running multiple graphics cards in an SLI or Crossfire configuration, this box will almost certainly fall short in terms of both power requirements and ports. Also worth noting: it's a non-modular power supply, meaning you can only use the cables and connectors that are plugged in. There's a good chance you'll end up cramming extra cables and connectors behind the side panel of your case. And remember to do as much research as you can before buying a power adapter and never buy the cheapest thing you can find. A poorly made power supply can damage or destroy other components in your PC or even catch fire. Silverstone divisions don't generally do this, but you can't just walk away from the brand regardless of the quality of their other products.
