As summer approached, I wanted a hat to wear outside while gardening or going for a walk. The hat is well made and is made of a very good material. There is an instep buckle on the back so you can adjust it to fit different head sizes. However, the area of the head itself is very flat. That said, this cap does not go down to the back of the head securely in any way. Even shaking his head made him move. It was the same for me (adult male head) and a smaller female head. Maybe wearing it backwards would have been different, but that's not why I took it. That's probably fine for kids, but it just doesn't work for adults.
