I started riding a fat bike and my hands were regularly cold despite trying different brands of ski gloves. I finally settled on bar mitts after reading numerous reviews. For handlebar gloves I needed a liner for the following: - keep your body engaged - doesn't get colder when sweaty - not bulky to easily put on handlebar gloves and I have better braking and gear control. I've heard good things about merino wool meeting all my needs so I gave it a try. It's been 4 months now and I'm very impressed with it. I even went to -5F where I wore them as a ski glove liner for skiing and fat biking as an extra layer. They sometimes feel cold initially until your body generates heat, and they are excellent at retaining that heat. Based on the features previously listed, they should also be good for running. I will post another update regarding durability in a year. Got the color black, the only thing to watch out for is working with velcro straps while wearing gloves and they aren't smart to work on the phone in cold weather without removing the stock. So if this is your requirement, you can look for alternatives. **UPDATE 9/27/2019** I have holes in my thumb and forefinger on one of these. Increased concerns about durability. I could embroider mine but would remove a star to reflect the same. There are no complaints about the functionality. ** If this review was helpful to you, click the button below this review (it really helps me). **
