Review on Anxiety Calming Wrap for Dogs - Mellow Shirt by Matt Maxwell

I am a veterinarian and animal welfare professional so I have used this style of shirts on many occasions. Compared to the Thunder shirt, I rate it 4 out of 5. This shirt is lighter and does not cover the dog as much as the Thunder shirt. Other than that, it works almost as well as a Thundershirt. It doesn't have the double velcro system on the stomach like the Thunder shirt. The Thunder shirt attaches to your dog and you can tighten or loosen the second waist strap as needed without having to fully unbutton the shirt. This isn't a problem for most dogs, only those who can jump or bite out of fear. I have used this type of shirt to relieve the stress of car rides, vet visits to fireworks, long range shooting and of course thunderstorms. I have yet to have a shirt that doesn't work reasonably well. The light weight is an advantage in warmer climates and the overall effect is very close to the Thunder shirt. I highly recommend this product. And it comes in cool colors.
