I spent a considerable amount of time hunting for a new CPU that would be able to take the place of my aging AMD Athlon II x2 215. I made the decision to exit at the 955 exit. The benefits that were outlined before, particularly the multiplier that might be unlocked, were very appealing to me. Upon the completion of the transaction, the occurrence of freezes (full) in software programs started almost immediately. Conducted several tests on it. Even if the processor is not overclocked, it appears that the cooler, which is not quite as bad as the one that came in the box, is not capable of providing adequate cooling for it. The issue was resolved by decreasing both the voltage and the frequency of the processor (1.5 volts to 1.35 volts and 3.2 gigahertz to 2.7 gigahertz, respectively). Consequently, this did not strengthen me in any way. The following day, I modified it to use an AMD Phenom II x4 B95 processor (an excellent percentage with low heat dissipation). There is still ten seconds left, but the cooler is easily able to handle the maximum load at this point. The conclusion is that the processor is exceptional and has the capability of being overclocked, but it calls for an effective cooling system.
