Yes it seems to work
Meh I've tried 2 liquid crystal thermometers plus a digital one I use to check the water. Liquid crystals work, but they're really hard to read and the accuracy isn't great. I would suggest buying a cheap digital kitchen thermometer and using it to check the water temperature for an easier and more accurate reading!
